'Publish and be damned' was a
traveling project / exhibition organized by Casco
- (Office for Art Design and Theory), in Utrecht, the Netherlands,
on Saturday Nov 5, 2005.
Naama, Timo, Selina and I, set up a desk, three computers, three chairs and
one A-3+ laser printer in the gallery space. We were set-up in a most similar
way, just without the printer, in a room directly underneath the gallery space;
our computers were connected to the ones upstairs, through a remote desktop
program, so people could see a publication being layed-out, designed, and
printed in front of them, without the presence of us there. We set up a microphone
and headphones on either end, so people could hear us discussing and making
decisions they saw taking place on the screens in front of them.
Underground instant publishing!
